Its quick and easy, its healthy and super tasty. What more could you want from a recipe?
Recently I have been trying to experiment more with my breakfasts. Breakfast definitely was my most skipped meal because I hate mornings and I’d be too uninspired to make something that I actually liked. But one can only ignore the health benefits of a proper breakfast for so long, before you just HAVE to start making changes in your life. Smoothies always appealed to me because they are easy to make, hard to mess up, even for sleepy Yara, & the possibilities are endless. So, long story short, here’s one of my favorite smoothies to start the day with of the moment:
> 1 banana
> Hand full of strawberries
> 2 hands full of spinach
> hand full of mint leaves
> juice from half a lemon
(> If you like a more liquid consistency you can add some coconut or almond milk)
To make it:
This really doesn’t need any explanation now does it? You just blend everything together until its your preferred consistency!
Thats it, super easy, hardy worthy of a post but I’m working on my food photography and a little healthy food inspiration never hurt anyone now did it? This power breakfast paired with a hand full of nuts gets me through the morning and makes me feel great because I’ve already gotten so many vitamins and nutrients in. I think this is a great spring/summer variation on the typical banana strawberry smoothie because of the fresh tone of the mint and lemon juice. If you don’t feel like the banana made it sweet enough you can always add some honey but if your bananas are a little riper you probably won’t need it at all.
