There’s a couple of places you can loose me in for hours, if not days. Candy stores and bookshops are on the list of places and museums most certainly are too. But when you’re talking about The Louvre it is a whole other level, I’m convinced you could lose me (and practically anyone) in there for weeks, easily!
First time trying éclairs!
Look at all the ant-sized people, the magnitude of this place is ridiculous!
My absolute favorite hall in the museum. The lighting is amazing and the marble statues just blow me away. Plus there is this vibe in this place, some strange kind of energetic peace. Oh I love it so much!
I’ve been to the Louvre a couple of times and I’ve come to the conclusion I have a love/hate relationship with it. I mean it is fantastic, the museum is one of my favorite places to be because of the beautiful lighting and it houses pretty much anything you could imagine and more. Way more. So much more that you will never see all of it and will always find art you love, its like walking into a history book. The flip side of that coin is that you never feel like you’re ready to leave, you know there’s so much more if you just keep on walking and turn another corner. I guess it means I need to move to Paris for at least a year and visit the museum every week for a couple of hours. That doesn’t sound like a bad idea, does it?
After the museum it was time to grab our bags from the hotel and get some food for the train-ride back home. Its definitely been the most memorable birthday and going through the pictures makes me want to go back to Paris as soon as I can. I feel like the list of things I want to do and see grows every time I visit instead of it getting shorter and shorter, but I figure thats a sign of a truly great city, right?
Have you ever been to Paris? What is on your Paris to-do list?
