Life’s rhythm can be so odd. There’s periods of months and months in which very little seems to change and then BOOM within a heartbeat you’re in the loopy part of the rollercoaster ride and you don’t know where to look because you’re going so fast! I’ve definitely been in the loopy part of the rollercoaster lately, so lets catch up shall we?

Living: In one of the most beautiful cities of the world if you ask me. The move to Amsterdam was smooth and easy but the transition is still stranger than I thought it would be. I’ve been living here for two weeks now and have hardly done any of the things I thought I’d be doing “as soon as I live there”. Definitely need to explore more.

Eating: according to a weekly meal plan that I spent hours on making last weekend in an attempt to do more structured grocery-shopping. Not going to lie, I find meal planning frustrating because “what if I crave something completely different?” but I’m going to give it a try for at least a couple of weeks. We’ll see how it goes.

Freaked out by: watching Cowspiracy the other night on Netflix. I know I’m probably late to this party but oh man did that documentary make me feel ignorant and it got me thinking about the choices I make and I’m actually considering trying out veganism for a month. Any of you experience with it because I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences! Oh and if you haven’t seen Cowspiracy I definitely recommend it, ignorance is NOT bliss.

Back in school! Okay maybe I should have started with this point because honestly its the biggest change in life at the moment. I just finished the first introduction week and the first two days of Gradschool and so far there haven’t been any major mental breakdowns, I only got lost once and the people in my program are lovely so in my book that is fantastic! But obviously it has been overwhelming, its been two and a half year since undergrad and my brain is definitely still slowly readjusting to processing the avalanche of information and trying to be focussed for an extended period of time. All in all, I’m super excited, very nervous and excited about this new chapter.

Watching: Full House because I totally missed out on that and had never even seen an episode before before last week.. and I’m already almost done with season two. Whoopsie.

Listening to: Get Low by James Vincent McMorrow. On repeat all.the.time.

SO EXCITED FOR AUTUMN! My Pinterest feed is turning orange, my scarves are waiting not so patiently to be taken out of the closet and everyone seems to be blogging about their autumn bucket list. I’m ready, I can’t wait, but today is going to be 31 degrees Celsius and there’s not a single sign of autumn arriving in Amsterdam yet.

So that was me, what about you? What are you guys up to? :)

Liefs,
Yara

I’d love to visit Amsterdam! It looks like such an amazing place! I’m totally with you on the meal planning – I do so well planning the whole weeks meals to try utilise all the stuff I buy, then it gets to the day to actually cook something and I definitely don’t fancy that anymore! I tried doing little shops every few days instead, but we spent way too much money doing that. So, I’m still in that same position haha!
